Meet Shirley

Shirley J. Franklin, a native of Virginia and the youngest of seven, is a devoted leader, minister, and mentor dedicated to faith, service, and community.

She is a graduate of Calvary Bible Institute and a licensed minister under Mt. Calvary Holy Church of America, as well as a faithful member of Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church in Washington, DC. Shirley is also a licensed officiant in the states of Virginia and Maryland.

Professionally, Shirley serves as the Senior Director of Operations and Workplace Services for a large global consulting firm. In this role, she leads a team of 22 associates and manages the real estate portfolio and operational functions for 26 offices across North America.

She is passionate about intercessory prayer, advocacy, corporate and social event planning, and organizational management. She has led teams and spearheaded planning committees for numerous women’s conferences, retreats, and large-scale events that foster encouragement, empowerment, and unity.

Shirley is also the host of Motivational Moments with Shirley Franklin, an online series where she inspires others in the areas of self-care, faith, healing, and resilience, while offering practical wisdom for leading a balanced and fulfilling life.

Beyond ministry and leadership, Shirley enjoys a hot cup of tea, traveling, Sunday brunch, and all things faith, family, and friends.

Among her greatest joys are her loved ones: her two amazingly gifted children, Shalyce and Brandon, her son-in-love Dominique, and four adorable grandchildren, Cameron, Cassidy, Tyler, and Skyler, who affectionately call her “GrandLove.”

Shirley is honored to be called a daughter of God, and her life of service reflects the essence of her favorite scripture, Colossians 3:23: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; for ye serve the Lord Christ.”
